Ways to Make Maps

by Terri Mc Cord

Near Main Street, the tiny rabbit tries not to move, its veined ears turn, light shining through the thin skin and pattern of pink lines that mimic the nearby leaves, curled and curved whiskers that mimic the wild grasses, and the ears beg to be read like a favorite travel map.

A recipient of four Pushcart and three Best of the Net noms, Terri McCord earned
a South Carolina Arts Commission juried fellowship, and she has worked in many
non-profits as well as education. Her work centers on visual and verbal literacies
in the context of nature and relationships.

This project is supported in part by the Metropolitan Arts Council, City of Greenville ATax, and the South Carolina Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Celebrating artists and their stories in the upstate & beyond.
