Journey Through the Trails

by Kendra MyKNichelle Murphy

I appear like no one else believes I should like a river forged through fire the burning taught me to walk in water to explore unity found only through paths less traveled garnering mustard seed strength from the breath of mountains standing resiliently grounded with exposed roots I speak as thunder on a clear day and swim tides during Earth's tribulations God's grace holds each heart left waiting for the sun to rest in darkness to accept its solitude as discernment is to understand all lessons are not meant to be understood and all trails do not lead to waterfalls some end in parks shrouded in the depths of wilderness some lead down towns through paved roads climbing uneven steps crossing the bridge where the world's worries fall away and others others lead to peace in the shade of trees amongst flowers in lands of green I remind myself to stop to swing to release to breathe and to find hope in the faith of love
