Sweet Treat

by Lune

I skip and scout through Greenville in search of something sweet. My feet slap the sidewalk as I seek out my next treat. Sugared rainbow sherbert matches the setting sun— the festivities are rising. The city’s having fun! Puddles of rainbow sherbert make way for a marble stream. It flows under Liberty Bridge, and right into my dreams! I browse a bustling bakery as the stream flows along. Nearby, a local band plays the richest, most chocolatey song. Songs dance around us as we picnic in Falls Park. A finale of desserts would really make a spark! I’d like something yummy, maybe some peanut brittle, and some taffy and some toffy— I only want a little! I grab a fresh-squeezed lemonade with a cold, tangy sorbet. I’d stay here forever, if I could have my way! It’s the sweetest southern city, and I’ve made a friend or two, I say, “Hello!” to them, and then I say, “Hello!” to you! Greenville is a city crafted from candy and fun from sweet southern communities all melted into one! My steps bounce like gumdrops and my mouth gives a grin— I haven’t seen you in a while! Come visit me, my friend!
